‘Privacy’ vying at accordi @ DISACCORDI fest in Italy

The accordi @ DISACCORDI - Int'l Short Film Festival in Italy is screening Iranian ‘Privacy’.

The accordi @ DISACCORDI - International Short Film Festival in Italy has been screening Iranian short flick ‘Privacy’.

Directed by Hossein Babaeean, the 12-minute film is among the titles competing at the 19th edition of the Italian event.

A brief synopsis for the flick reads, “In a dry village, a young widow whose two children were exhausted from thirst are looking for water. A neighbor gave her some water even though it was not enough.

Finally a portable water tank truck arrived the village. The young widow begged for water; but, the truck driver refused to give her some water for free. The truck driver told her he would give her some water with just one condition, a horrible consideration”.

Mehraneh Ezabad, Reza Robatjazi, Nariman Ali Livari and Nazanin Zahra Ahmadi are the cast members of ‘Privacy’.

The film has already taken part in the Red Rock Film Festival in the US.

The accordi @ DISACCORDI - International Short Film Festival welcomes filmmakers, professionals, enthusiasts from across the world, to share the art of independent short films with the local audience, to entertain and enlighten the festival attendees, to provide filmmakers the opportunity for professional networking and development, and to encourage cultural tourism and film industry development in Naples and the surrounding area in Campania.

This year’s edition of the event has been underway since November 7 and it is set to wrap up on November 13.
